What do you mean by adapter? Are you refering to a handsfree kit? If so, check out this post (http://www.smartphonethoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=6639) we did about a Jabra/Amazon deal.

ah, I see. Sorry, but my laptop has Bluetooth built in, so I can't offer much in this area. I don't even know who makes Bluetooth adapters. I would imagine that US Robotics, or 3COM would have something. They tend to make good products.
Well, hopefully someone that purchased one can help you out here.

I am using a Belkin USB adapter with my MPx220 and XP SP2. Cost me $50. No issues. :)
Microsoft has a list of BT adapters that are XP SP2 compatible. Wish I could find that list.
I picked up a generic usb bluetooth adapter. I cna detect and pair w/ the 5600, but the only service available is dial-up networking??? anybody have any ideas on how to do file transfers, syncing via bluetooth etc.?
sould it be that I don't have an XP SP2 compliant adapter?

dmt, I've had that same problem with my Belkin adapter. I just started using the USB cable for all that. Its a lot quicker, and it charges the phone at the same time.
Although I would like to know how to use FTP to transfer files to and from my PC to phone.

I purchased a linksys bluetooth USB class 1 adapter (Model No: USBBT100) and it has worked fine with all of my bluetooth devices to date. I just purchased an smt5600 (should have it by the end of the week) so I haven't tried it with this adapter, I don't know why it wouldn't work, it has been fine with previous bluetooth devices including a symbian smartphone.
