I have tried using mp3s for my custom contact ringtones but they do not show up only the Midi's do. Are MP3 not supported? If not can anyone tell me where to get a converter?

I'm not sure if the MPx220 supports mp3's or not. I'm guessing not, otherwise you wouldn't be having problems.

You can download a convertor from download.com. Just search for "MP3 WAV Convert" and make sure there is no spyware in the tool you download.

Well it doesnt make sense that you can use MP3 on the main ringer but you cant use it on the contact ring tones. My i600 that I replaced with this phone can even do it.

I know MP3's work... I did it once. Now I can't. Last time I had to play the tone first, then it was avaliable, but as I said now I can't get it to work.

I finally got the MP3s to show up. I had to put the mp3s in the sounds folder and do a soft reset and they showed up and work great.

all your ringtones should go into the Sounds folder. If you put the file in the windows folder it will be automatically removed when you reboot the phone.

Sorry for a stupid question, but how do you do a soft reset?

A soft reset is just cycling the power, turning the phone off and then back on. That's one of the big differences between the Pocket PC and the Smartphone. Smartphones don't have a stand-by mode. When you power off, it's off. On the Pocket PC, when you power off, it just goes into stand-by mode.
