Audiovox SMT 5600 & Amazon Activation

I was about to buy the Audiovox 5600 on mazons website and was going through the calls plans which are ok, but then when I got to the data plans, it looks like to makes you choose the 29.99 for 10MB a month!!!

On At&ts website you can get unlimited for 29.99, what is going on? What is everyone else doing in this situation?? Can you completely change your plan once you sign up? my company has discoun ted plans that I would like to get.

Any ideas would be great as this is the last day for this deal!

I have just recently purchased the phone from amazon.com as well. The promotion has been extended til' 11/17.

I spoke with an AT&T rep, and they said they would be happy to update my plan and options once i received my phone. They will even allow me to keep my existing cell # (# portability) even though Amazon has already submitted the request to ATT to activate on a new #. Will let you know how it goes once I get the phone in my hands and call AT&T back to make the changes.

Anyone know if you can buy multiple SMT 5600 phones from Amazon on this deal and get multiple rebates?

I'm about 2 weeks away from the end of a 2 year contract with Verizon for 4 phones on a family plan. I would like to switch to AT&T/Cingular and purchase a couple of these phones. I could buy them before the deal runs out on 11/17, but do I get rebates for all the phones? Anybody know?

I think it's one rebate per household. The rebate should spell it out pretty clearly. Oh, and I think you have to be in the US to qualify too.

I'm pretty sure you can claim more than one rebate per household. Obviously you need one phone purchase per rebate. Here's the links to the rebate forms
