It plugs right into Active Sync and will convert and transfer your music every time you connect. It costs $9.99, and it doesn't look like there is a trial version available. :(

In other words, it is totally useless for any song you buy from the iTunes music store. This app is not doing anything that you couldn't easily do manually yourself. (iTunes supports converting non-copyprotected Apple .AAC files to MP3 natively, just click and convert, or else set your ripping preference to MP3 to begin with. Windows Media Player 10 on my SMT5600 plays MP3's just great, no extra software needed.)
This application is definately not worth $9.99 in my humble opinion.

Yep, you're missing it. There's a table that runs along the right side of the web page titled "Here's What ppcTunes Can Do For You..."
The first box in the grid below that says "iTunes Playlist Sync - Select your playlist in ppcTunes and let it do the rest. All of your non copy-protected music will be copied immediately to your Pocket PC"
Hint, you can press Ctrl-F in your browser and type "copy-protected" and it will find it and highlight it for you, if you still don't see it.

Ok, I see it now. That table almost looks like a google ad, so I didn't pay much attention to it.
