I'm looking for a Bluetooth headset for the 5600. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Looking for first hand experience/impressions with Jabra 250 or the Bluetrek G2 in particular.
Thanks all...

I have Sony Ericsson HBH-65 that works well with the SMT5600. Bear in mine I've only had the phone for 1 day so far, so I may uncover some quirks yet. :)

Thanks Pete. I'd appreciate you giving me an update at your leisure when you have had some quality time with the headset.
Enjoy the phone, it is so cool...

I've got an HBH-600 that works well so far, but I've only had mine for 3 days, and haven't tried to set up voice tags yet.

Well, I did more testing with the HBH-65 and SMT5600. Voice dialing works well with one caveat. If the keypad lock is on, the SMT5600 won't respond to the headset for voice dialing. This is completely assinine and defeats the purpose of voice dialing.
Other than that, sound quality through the headset is good.

Send Audiovox a support e-mail. I did and they said it's the way it was designed.
I had the Motorola HS810 ($100.00) and had the same problem. I returned as I thought a $100.00 headset should be able to unlock the phone and allow me to voice-dial. I bought the Motorola HS820 ($79.99), 1: it's cheaper, 2: it's newer then the HS820. Well, same problem with the locked keypad issue, but at least it's cheaper and it works really well otherwise. Maybe I'll write to Microsoft next complaining about that inconvinience.

I'm using the Motorola HS810 bluetooth headset with my SMT5600 and I'm happy with it. My primary selection criteria was weight. In my opinion, anything that is going to be hanging off your ear all day needs to be as light as possible. The HS810 weighs only 21 grams, and I hardly notice it at all.
Keeping in mind that both Jabra and Logitech have just announced new bluetooth headsets that weren't available when I made my decision, so you may want to evaluate these new offerings as well.
Let us know what you end up choosing. Good luck.

I have the BlueTrek G2 and it works great and you cant beat the price. I got mine on ebay brand new with extra accessories about 6 months ago for $65.00
My only complaint would be that it's not the most comvortable thing in the world...but then again, it may just be my big ears! But once you bend the part the holds to your ear a bit...you can make it comfortable.

How about getting one that charges over miniUSB? Not sure if they exist though.
But again, its only a concern if you travel a lot.
My previous phone was a V600 and I have the HS810. They shared the charger and I could cut down on my accessories to carry. I'm on the road pretty much all the time.

Well, I decided to give the Jabra 250 a shot. Picked it up from Best Buy today. So far, so good. Installation on the 5600 was a breeze, and the performance is fine.
Next stop for me is a BT keyboard!
Thanks for the input.

Can you please tell me if it dials out even when the keypad is locked?
Thanks.

Unfortunately, no... Very annoying too. I still like the headset and hope the first update will cure this oversight.

Yes there are no Smartphone drivers for the ThinkOutside Bluetooth Keyboard yet. Although the keyboard packaging sure makes it sounds like you can use the keyboard with a MS Smartphone, you can't. At least not yet.

I e-mailed ThinkOutsides tech support and a Smartphone driver for this kbd will be available in December this year.
As Mike mentioned, the site does make it sound like this unit is compatible now.
any info for a logitech HS w/ the 5600 yet?
I'm looking into the Logitech® Mobile Freedom™
