Audiovox SMT 5600 - What does this new status icon mean?

I used to have an MPx200 and I recently got this phone and it's awesome. One thing I'm curious about is what the new status icon means. It seems to appear whenever you are on any screen other than the home screen. It looks like a the torso of a person with a phone underneath.

Anybody know what this means? I didn't see any mention of this in the instructions provided with the phone.

According to the users manual it means: Caller ID monitor is running

that's the IA Style (aka HTC) Caller Id icon. If you see an X thru the body that means caller id is not ready to use. once the X is gone, that means the caller id app is ready to display pictures.
