Since the MPx220 started showing up in Best Buy stores, we have seen a huge increase in people registering on the site and posting questions in the forums. I would like to add a nice warm welcome to all of our new readers! In the last week alone we have over 60 new members and some threads are in excess of 150 replies with over 10,000 views! It looks like everyone is really excited over these new devices. :) If you have a question, or just want to discuss your new device, please consider posting a new thread in one of our many discussion forums. Since some threads are now approaching epic proportions, it is very possible a question, comment, or concern could be lost between the pages. Starting a new thread will increase the visibility of your post, and it will also be much easier to find and read than a 16+ page thread.

Welcome to Smartphone Thoughts, and we'll see you in the forums. :D

Yup me too! In fact I visit all the Thoughts Media websites atleast twice a day to keep up with the latest.

You can add the Audiovox SMT 5600 to the list! I just came home with mine from a neighboring AT&T store. Man! This thing's gonna be a huge seller. I made them hold the last one for me while I drove over. There were two guys in line waiting to grab it in case I didn't make it.

For the record, I'm upgrading from a V600 and the SMT 5600 is gonna run rings around it.

Time to start shopping for a Mini-SD card.

Any suggestions on which to buy and where?

Thanks!

8O :werenotworthy: That's not an easy thing to do. There is so much happening on the Thoughts Media family of sites. I can't stay on top of it, and I'm using the new TMNI (Thoughts Media Neural Interface).

People lined up in case you didn't show. Man this phone is going to change the landscape.

There is a memory price discussion going on over in this thread (http://www.smartphonethoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=6482&highlight=). It seems ScottDe has found a good price at eCost.

I definitely think the Audiovox SMT5600 deserves as much credit as the MPx220, if not more. It's definitely the reason I'm here. Now only if my local AT&T store could manage to get them in stock. I would have ordered one online or via phone already, if not for AT&T's ridiculous decision to label this phone as primarily a data device, and not allow it to play with shared plans. What a stunningly asinine marketing move. Check this thread for details: http://forums.attwireless.com/attws/board/message?board.id=Audiovox&message.id=854

Has the shift to Smartphones begun? I'll will have for me if the SMT5600 works out. I'd be interested if the traffic increase here as equated to a traffic decrease at pocketpcthoughts?

Ah! That explains the traffic bump we got then. I was thinking something was up, glad the 220 is hitting store shelves. LOL, also I just registered here as a result of my SMT 5600, so I guess that makes sence.

I just picked up the Audiovox SMT 5600. Great device and the price is almost too good to be true. I was out the door with tax for $350 with no activation requirement.

Same price as I paid. :D And I wasn't even reqd. to get the unltd. data plan. But I went ahead with it. Glad I did. Surfing is so sweet on this device.... :P

I can't believe how sharp whose itty bitty fonts look.
