I have not received my Mini-SD card yet and I am trying to download music files to my 5600.

Windows Media Player 10 (on XP) says that I only have around 928KB available.

However, when I run Space Maker on my 5600, it says that I have nearly 25MB of Flash Memory FREE.

Is that memory truely free? How come I can not access it using my WMP10 software?

Has anyone else been able to access the memory or know why I can not?

I noticed the same problem. For some reason the wm10 player doesn't see our storage folder on the smartphone. Not sure why. I just ordered a mini SD. Hopefully it sees that card.

I'm waiting for my 512MB card to come in too.

It's better this way so that the OS has some space to actually run the programs.

I'm looking for a good deal on 512MB of Mini SD for my 5600. The best I can find is this one (http://www.ecost.com/ecost/shop/detail.asp?dpno=511348) at ecost.com for $99.38 shipped.

Anyone know of any better deals?

That's better than what I found. The one I ordered was about $120 after shipping.

Have you ordered from this site yet?

Did you get a shipping confirmation or know what state it's shipping from?

My last order is on back order ($110) and now I'm searching for a new vendor.

I was under the impression (read somewhere) that the max capacity of the 5600 was 256mb sd cards? Is this not the case?

I've heard the manual says max 256MB. Usually manuals and specs will list the max memory size as the current market max size. They do this to be safe. In the future the memory format may change, and then they would be in trouble. (Just look at MemoryStick for a prime example of how the format can change)

Long story short, you're fine using 512 or more. For now.

Ahh, that means I have an extra 256 card for my camera <grin>!

Thanks Mike... Enjoy the weekend.

I received my Transcend miniSD card today from digi4all.com (shipped Friday). I can confirm that 512MB is recognized by the phone (actually, about 490MB, must be some overhead). For $76, a pretty good deal!

Ever since my 512MB memory card came in I've been filling and re-filling it like crazy.

I've got 6 CDs stored on the card as well as two 30 minute television programs recorded and converted from my ReplayTV (networked digital video recorder).

Really fun!

I just ordered a transcend 45x mini SD 512MB card from DIGI4ALL. It cost $74 bucks + tax (if you live in california as it ships from Los Angeles). The cheapest shipping is $3, but you can find a promotional code for DIGI4ALL that gives you a credit for $3 so that shipping is free if you choose ground shipping.

I ordered an ATP 512MB MiniSD card from ComputerHQ.com ($108.25) since the were the ONLY site that could VERIFY availability and product.

I also did a search on ATP's MiniSD card and found several reviews that commented on its being a VERY HIGH PERFORMING product.
It carries a 10mb transfer rate compared to other SD Cards.
The only drawback is that it ships without the MiniSD - SD converter.

I received it last Friday and I've been using it without any problems in my SMT5600.

To test out its performance I downloaded The Polar Express trailer and it plays beautifully from the SMT5600 !!!
