It packs in excellent Outlook syncing capabilities and provides the best multimedia experience we've seen on a phone. Add to that a fine design and excellent battery life, and we had no choice but name it our latest Editors' Choice for smart phones."</i><br /><br />The SMT 5600 gets an overall rating of 4 out of 5 and "Editors Choice", Nice! I think this is the first of many awards that this phone (and it's siblings) will be awarded. It's clear that HTC pulled out all the stops on this device. <br /><br />PC Mag's review isn't terribly in-depth. It's more of a "quick look" at the device and it's features. It is worth reading, however, I think you'll find the review done by Smartphone Thoughts reader <a href="http://www.smartphonethoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=42622#42622">seaflipper</a> provides more information. :)

WOW!

Great review - Yeah HTC is going to clobber the marketplace me thinks - Moto and others will have to play catchup. Think of it though - it makes sense - HTC has had a ton of experience in producing successful PDA's and PPC phones - it's a natural next step for them...

Can't wait to see T-Mo get theirs out...

The PC Mag article states that the SMT5600 can use mini-SD cards up to 256MB but other c500 users have been successful with 512MB.

I just returned from the ATT store with one of these in my pocket (complete impulse purchase). :D

First impressions:
Feels solid and has a good heft in the hand.
Nice and compact.
The screen is plenty bright and clear.
Navigation via various buttons is a bit confusing but I'm sure I'll get used to it.

I'm still waiting for my phone number to transfer over from my Sprint account so can't say how the audio quality is yet.

Will do.

My number just transferred over from Sprint and I got my first call. Sounds quality was about the same or better than my Sprint phone/service.
