I was having a discussion with a co-worker recently about mobile devices, when he broke off into a rant about hands-free devices and he brought up a really good point. There are a lot of people around here driving their Mercedes, BMW's, etc... with their phones stuck up against the side of their heads. For less than the cost of a tank of gas, they could buy a hands-free kit for the phone and be a whole lot safer. Some of these people could probably afford to pay someone to hold the phone for them! So what's the deal? Are hands-free kits that awkward or complicated? And more importantly, what do you do while driving?

I use Wired Hands Free 80% of the time and Speaker phone otherwise.
Want to buy one of the new cars that come with BT hands free kit built into the dash. But then I don't have a BT enabled Smartphone, so holding off on the car purchase. ;-)

I didn't see a option for "I just use it without a handsfree kit."
I've used them all and they are all unusable IMHO. I don't do it very often so I don't see it as a problem.

I don't know if using a Bluetooth headset would be included under Bluetooth hands free set, but I use the headset quite frequently.

With the new "no-phone-while-driving" laws in NJ, I better start using a headset...but I just cover the phone with my hand and act like I'm just resting my head. I'll probably get a ticket for napping while driving before I get a phone ticket! :D
Stupid of me actually since I have a BT headset, wired headset, and speaker phone in the cubby hole right next to me. But the BT Headset is not charged (the car charger is right next to it), The wired headset is barely audible on phone calls (good for music and movies though) and the e200 speakerphone picks up too much background noise.
