Hi,

I know that when you connect a PPC to your PC it shows up as another drive on your computer, allowing you to directly drag and saves files to your PPC and work directly with them from there.

I was wondering if it's possible to do this with the MS smartphones as well?

Thank you

Yup. It works exactly the same as a PPC. You'll find it under My Computer\Mobile Device\Smartphone.

Now, the one feature that isn't the same, is that the Smartphone does not have a file sync conduit in ActiveSync like PPC does.

Thanks Mike.

Just exactly does this mean? What will the lack of a file sync prevent me from doing with my phone (actually, yet-to-be-mpx220 phone)?

For PPC, there is a folder under the My Documents folder called <DEVICENAME> Documents. Any file you put inside of here will be sync'd to your PPC. (If you don't see this folder, Open Active Sync, Tools, Options, and you should see a checkbox for files.)

This doesn't exist on the Smartphone platform and we're not sure why.

oh, and this is used for programs like eWallet, or Excel Docs, etc...
