It also shows name of your current location (if your GSM operator provides it). You can teach your phone locations which are important for you like: home, school, work, train station, church etc. Then you can set up events based on entering or leaving chosen location. For example your phone can automatically switch profile to Silent when you come home. If you commute to work by train you can set up alarm which will wake you up when you arrive to the train station even if your train is late!"</i><br /><br /><img src="http://www.smartphonethoughts.com/images/Temporale-20040902-TinyGPSAnimated.gif" alt="User submitted image" title="User submitted image"/> <br /><br />Has anyone installed this yet? It should run on any unlocked 2003-based device. You are encouraged to try it before buying, just in case it doesn't work on your device. You can download a trial version, or purchase a copy for $17.95 <a href="http://www.smartphone.net/smartphonethoughts/software_detail.asp?id=813">here.</a> [Affiliate]

This seems cool. I'll try it tonight when I get home. It would be cool if the phone could update a webpage when your location changes. So my webpage call tell everyone where I am and burgulars could know when to rob me!

8) Cool App. Will have to try it out tonite.

Too bad that it works with SP 2003 only. My primary Smartphone is still running SP 2002. :-(

I always wished there was a way to automatically switch to Silent/Meeting profile when I am at work and switch out of it when I am home.

There have been numerous occassions when I have come home and have forgotten to switch the phone to Normal profile and missed phone calls. Because once home I leave the phone on the kitchen counter and may never hear it if it is silent/meeting mode.

Looks like TinyGPS cannot launch an application when you enter a location. If it could, then you could have created a Shortcut Link (similar to the IE Favorite shortcut file) to your website. Saved the shortcut file on your Smartphone. Then have the TinyGPS launch the shortcut instead of a .EXE. I am sure that shortcut file would get triggered and launch the pIE automatically to connect to your site.

This app has endless potential. Kudos to the developer. I am sure the person is busy writing the next version. :-)

That's a blast from the past! How long ago was that!?

Good to see Microsoft Smartphones catching up, even if you do need 2003 to run it
