Once everything is setup and communicating properly, it's a great thing. However, I really dread the setup and pairing of devices. Which makes this move by Ericsson very interesting. Do they feel that there is nothing more they can offer? Or Perhaps, Bluetooth has no where else to go?

The way you presented this article is far more level-headed and professional than on this site's sister site. Nicely done.

As for my feeling regarding Bluetooth, it works fine. Heck, I was in a car (a passanger) and a mate was in his car driving beside us on a dual carriageway and I was able to send important files to his smartphone! How cool is that!?

Maybe it has reached the stage where it is doing all that it will ever do, but what it does, it does well and at low cost also.
