We’re guessing that Sierra Wireless and AT&T’s first date didn’t quite pan out—did Sierra not pay for dinner or open the door for them on the way out?"

If this rumor is true, then it is a big blow for Sierra Wireless. Sierra has been struggling to sign up major carriers for its unique Smartphone. Initial reports had suggested that AT&T Wireless would be the carrier in the United States. AT&T has a lot of enterprise customers, and this phone with its flip open keyboard, is a perfect fit for its enterprise customers. It is also bad news for folks who were planning to buy it at a subsidized price. I am very disappointed with the carrier-manufacturer politics that is prevalent in the Smartphone market. What do you think?
