(NYSE:MOT) a global leader in wireless, broadband and automotive communications technologies today unveiled the Motorola MPx220 with Windows MobileTM software for mobile professionals. This ultimate mobile e-mail device includes an integrated 1.23 Megapixel Camera, Bluetooth® Wireless Technology, Quad Band Performance and synchronization with your office. Having fun is serious business with the quad-band Motorola MPx220, which seamlessly merges the familiarity and power of the desktop and the pocket-ability of a mobile phone, making this the ideal productivity tool to take your office on the road around the world."</i><br /><br />Ok, who had late July in the pool? All joking aside, it's nice to see Motorola make the MPx220 official. There's nothing in the press release that we didn't already know. They state Q4 availability and there is no mention price, other than to check with your local Motorola rep.

Really? This came straight from the press release: "The Motorola MPx220 with Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition software"

Maybe I've been living in a cave for awhile, but I didn't know the MPx220 would have WM2003 Second Edition on it. Regardless, that's *great* news!!

Finally...

I'm not surprised about Q4... Wasn't there some sort of bit of info that said that the company actually building this phone won't have quantities ready to ship until September?

I just hope that someone will make a nice carrier for this - one of those plastic clip-on-the-belt carriers that doesn't add additional weight or bulk would be just great.
