I am hoping that this program will bring me good luck ;-) Well it already did, Microsoft stock is up :-)

Trying out the trial version. Since none of the online trading sites offer a good way to monitor the stocks. I think I may buy this one.

Like the auto refresh and alerts.

Wish it could pull down Stock related news and store it so that I can read them later.

How often does it refresh? Do they have a paid feed or a "delayed 15 minutes" feed? The delayed feeds can't be used by professional traders...(not that I'm one or anything).

It uses delayed feed(don't know how much the delay is, guessing 20 mins or so) :-( Real time or professional traders may not like it.

Today was my first day with the app and I did observe it during the day, but then wanted to confirm it. It is mentioned in the documentation, it is buried though.

But it doesn't bother me much. I am not a day trader, I just like to know when some stock is unusually high or how my stock/portfolio is doing, couple of times a day. I am trying to build my knowledge on how the market behaves.

Wish list
- Support for News.
- A Desktop tool for adding the stock prices/info. Adding 5 stocks or more with name, quantity, price etc on a phone keypad is cumbersome. Or an editable INI or XML file will also do for me (I will check to see if they use one).

Plus side
- The app packs in a lot of features into the small Smartphone UI.

Regarding "Refresh", that can be set by the user in the Options, it is in minutes. It specifies the frequency with which the app reads the delayed stock quotes. If I specify 60 mins then, the app will fetch the delayed stock quotes (not current) once every 60 mins.

Anybody get this to work on an i600? I can install it, it looks good after the install, but when I go to launch the app the icon on the start menu is the generic icon and I get a message stating something like there is no application associated with this file.

Any ideas on how to make this work? I've tried uninstall reinstall and installing to the phone as opposed to the storage card.

TIA,

Heard back from Fizz. The trial download at smartphone.net is incomplete. Only one of the two components necessary to run the app is included. Go to Fizz directly for a working trial download.
