But profit margins at the South Korean company's handset division slumped to 16 percent from 26 percent, after being hit by tougher competition in the U.S. market and higher marketing expenses linked to the Athens Olympics in August."<br /><br />The increased sales is good news for Samsung, however the profit margin drop concerns me. I didn't realize their is <i>tougher competition</i> in the US right now. Has anyone noticed an overall drop in handset prices? :?
