Hey all,

I'm thinking seriously of buying an E200 (I probably will next week, pending any seriously negative information). I'm in Indianapolis, IN, and am on the Cingular network. I've heard a lot about how the E200 works well with T-Mobile, but how is it with Cingular? Anybody have experience? I know the ins-and-outs regarding the phone, I'm specifically referring to signal quality/strength.

Any comments would be appreciated!
Thanks...

I hope someone in your area responds to your query regarding signal strength and quality.

I don't have E200 and am on T-Mobile, but would like to mention that E200 is a tri-band phone (900/1800/1900Mhz) and unlike T-Mobile that operates on only 1900Mhz, Cingular (also AT&T) operates on both 850+1900Mhz.

So I would advise you to call Cingular customer support and find out the cell tower frequency/band in your area. Also if you do a lot of roaming outside your home town, then a Quad band phone (only MPx220) or 850+1900Mhz phone is the answer.

Thanks for the info! I think I'm going to get the phone, try it on Cingular (there is both 850 and 1900 available where I primarily use my phone) and if the reception is bad (I read that Cingular can have both available, but force you to use 850 for some things) I will probably switch to T-Mobile. Wireless Advisor (http://www.wirelessadvisor.com) is a great website I found (via howardforums.com (http://www.howardforums.com)).

As for the quad-band phones.... I wish! :) I would love to wait long enough to get an MPx220, or have enough cash for it (for that matter).

:)

Thanks for the advice!
