Does anyone know if mp3 files can be set up as the ringtone on O2 xPhone? The phone catalog states that it can't be done. Any workarounds?

Convert the MP3 to a WAV file. There are plenty of applications that will convert your music between different formats. I think Windows Media player will rip music to WAV format. That's all you need to do.

My Xphone II also supports WMA ringtones. They are smaller than WAV files and work great.

Just put the WMA file in \Storage\Application Data\Sounds folder, then select it from the Sounsd list in Settings.

WMA files have better sound at lower compression than MP3 too.
