Each game has a mini-review and a screen shot to help understand what the game is all about. This list has a couple of my favorites on it, and a couple that I wish would run on my phone. The list looks pretty accurate to me, what are your thoughts?

And just a friendly reminder, all of these titles are available from our Affiliate store. :D

I'm especially curious to hear what games other people think are good enough that they stay on your phones all the time, even as other games come and go. Plus I really would be thrilled to have someone create (or port) a brilliant, simple tile-based fantasy RPG game for the smartphone . . .

I would have to add Snails and BEJEWELED (the Astraware official version) to that list...When I first got my Smartphone about a year ago, I was hooked onto Snails, and now that Astraware released Bejeweled, I've been hooked on it too (just as I was when I had it on my PocketPC).

I do agree with most of the list though...Smartphone games in general are awesome to play when I have a chance.

Hey Ben, You've got a great list of applications there. Good job.

Aqua Blocks. I can't put it down. Any time I find a couple minutes, I'm playing a round. Just talking about it now makes me want to go back and play another round.

I'm not much of a gamer, I prefer simple quick type games for my phone. Stuff that you can play while you wait for the train, or a meeting to get underway.

Thanks, Mike. I try to have a good mix (several short fun games, but also some long challenging games that can entertain me on an extended commute).

This list has a couple of my favorites on it, and a couple that I wish would run on my phone.

Which games won't run on your phone? What kind of phone is it?

Eclipse: First Wave. No matter what I do, it won't run. I even did a hard reset and then attempted to play the game. No luck. I keep getting a low memory error. Even after a hard reset.

I'm currently running a Tanager with WM 2003 on it.

Didn't I see a port of Doom the other day?

Yup, here it is, on our affiliate store (http://www.smartphone.net/smartphonethoughts/software_detail.asp?id=665). I think I'm going to do a front page post on this app. It's already got a 130 downloads in just a couple days!

Wot, no Pocket Minigolf :?

Another of my favourite games. My daughter loves playing that with me. I aim, and she puts. Together we are a winning combo!
