The group, called the Open Mobile Terminal Platform Alliance (OMTPA), includes: TIM, Telefonica Moviles, T-Mobile, Smart and NTT DoCoMo. Analysts expect the group will push for standards on technologies such as MMS. This makes sense: customers want communications features to work with whomever they are trying to communicate - even if that person is on a different network.
