More Details On The Orange C500

The specs are pretty close to what was rumored earlier. The phone is a GSM tri-band running on 900/1800/1900. It has 64MB or RAM, a camera and Bluetooth. It is also running Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition. Plus the thing is very small. I mean really, really, looks-like-a-fashion-phone small. Damn, I had no idea it was quite that small! Very, very nice.

This is one of the ugliest phones I've ever seen in my life. IT does have good specs though, on paper. We'll see how good it is after people start using it. I don't intend to buy any smartphone on release, wait a couple of months and then I'll see.

But this phone is just ugly.

I was planning on getting the Motorola Mx100 when it came out as I like the candy bar phones. (my girlfriend says flip phones are for girls, and I have to agree with her. not that I "have" to agree with her, but I agree they are a bit girly).
But anyway since the joystick on my T68i just broke off I did not want to get another joystick phone and this C500 looks like a godsend.
I agree it is not as nice looking as the Mx100, but maybe it looks better in the flesh, or plastic.

The joystick on the T68 is notorious for breaking off. The design of the one on the MPx100 will hopeully be such that it's almost impossible to break, like the one on the SPV E100.

What could possibly be girly about a flip phone? It doesnt have makeup in it.
