Anybody out there know of a way to customize the layout on the home screen? I.e., what info is displayed on the homescreen and in what order?

Home Screen layout/content is defined using an XML file.

In case you dont want to mess with the XML, then you can use a tool like Jeyo Personalizer.

Also if you have SP 2002, then you can download the Microsoft based tool.

There is also a website that lets you create a customized screen, and it can deployed via SMS or CAB file download.
