The new spec will provide data speeds up to three times current levels, and cut power consumption, allowing up to twice the battery life compared to current devices. EDR devices will backwards-compatible with the existing Bluetooth devices. The Bluetooth SIG expects the spec to be finalized in fall 2004, with products available in 2005."

All the speed in the world won't help Bluetooth until it becomes easier to use. :roll:

Yes, usability is more important than a speed boost. The improved battery life could be nice, though!
