Flames or Lightning?

There's this little thing going on this week called the Stanley Cup Finals. It just so happens that the Calgary Flames will be taking on the Tampa Bay Lightning. It also happens that Jason is lives in Calgary, and I live in Tampa. So, dear reader, who do you like for the Cup - Tampa or Calgary? You can probably guess who I'm pulling for :D

Well, since the Flames eliminated my Detroit Red Wings (I'm originally from the Detroit area), then my second-choice San Jose Sharks (I live near San Jose), I guess I have to root for them.

I'm not happy about it though. :-D

I was at the Phillies Game saturday when the Flyers lost. Even a cameraman was watching the game on his camera...flipping back and forth. Everyone was watching the game on TVs all aroung the Stadium.

There was a huge sigh of disappointment throughout the stadium when they lost.

So I have to root for Calgary so the Tampa fans will know how it feels to go to the end and LOSE! :evil:

Woo Hoo!! Game 1 Tonight. Anyone have predictions on the score? Calgary is going home with the cup this year, no question there. However, I expect Tampa to take game 1. It will be a close game, something like 2-1.

Well, yesterdays game resulted in a 2-2 tie in the series so far. The Lightnings won 1-0 on a Power Play where they had 5-3 players. We had 2 penalties, so therefore I say it was luck that they scored.

The next game is this Thursday at 6pm scheduled in Tampa. If we win the next two down there, we have won the cup :D

Lets hope we can win.

8pm Est :wink: And I haven't actually looked this up, but the next 2 games should be split between Calgary and Tampa. Regardless it now comes down to the best of 3.

So I'm guessing that Calgary now loves Kerry Frasier as much as Toronto.

Agreed. Calgary played hard. They where last place starting the playoffs, so to make it this far and play in the 7th game of the cup finals is pretty amazing. Not to mention all the games where very close, 1 goal difference for the most part.

Yup... I think this is bigger than the Bucs winning the Super Bowl. I wish I could make it to the parade tomorrow!
