Motorola i930 question ¿

Does any one know when this i930 (nextel) camera phone is actually coming out and what other phones are on Nextel's line up? I actually heard from a Nextel Sales Assoc. that this June is the release date for the i930, and its around $375. This is creating quite a rumor mill for Nextel and its keeping everyone on there toes, if not pissing people off.

I talked to a reliable nextel sales assoc. today, and they told me the company is receiving a memo on the 15th of May regarding the i930, i830 and one other camera phone. She also told me to expect the phone out by the end of May. Ill keep you posted.

This is the best phone Nextel will offer in 2004. Ill keep you posted. The crappy version, i830, has been confirmed to come out the 17th.

Actually, I spoke to Motorola's IDEN development team at CTIA in March in Atlanta. The i930 is slated for Q4'04 release. I wouldn't expect it until until probably early '05. The next release of a high-end phone (not an MS one) is the i830. It's slated for June along with Java-based i305 knock-offs.
