anybody interested testing the smartphone (alpha) version of my new open-source video player (divx/xvid codec, avi or ogm file format.)? i don't have access to a real smartphone device, so any help is appreciated.

http://betaplayer.corecodec.org

hopefully the installer works. cab and files are not digitaly signed. you can download the RL_SQB sample video from the homepage if you don't want to bother with encoding.

thanks.
bye, Picard

Just read about the new player in a CoreCodec forum - I will try it out on my Voq and see if it works - pocketMVP doesnt seem to .

Doesn't seem to want to play the files - just crashes when a file is selected. Could be something to do with Windows Mobile 2003 maybe.

Yes, I tried a couple of the sample files - I will send the "dump.txt" file ASAP.

I am not sure if the dump.txt file will give you much as the application crashes on launch of a file.

Let me know.

The test movies work great on my 5600.

Will it support mpeg ever?

Is there some sort of conflict between Betaplayer and Xbar2?

Betaplayer works great, but after I installed Xbar2 I noticed that after I open Betaplayer and watch a video holding the Action Button will no longer bring up the Xbar pop up. The Xbar clock is till at the top though. I have to go manually launch the xbar.exe to get it to work again.

This is on the Audiovox SMT5600 by the way.
