I600 update? and Email help

I was wondering if anyone knows the detail on the 2003 update and if it will correct the problem with outgoing email problems.
I can't believe that microsoft puts out a platform that won't communicate with MSN through a relationship with Verizon.
Who thinks all this out???

I am planning on switching to Verizon & i600, so I am curious about the email and 'wont communicate with MSN' issues.
