We have learned from a reliable source close to Microsoft's Windows Mobile Group that they have set the release date for the next version of Windows Mobile. It should be expected in mid 2005 and will be called "Windows Mobile 2003 Rebooted Reloaded". Some of the main features are the unified home screen across devices, Firewire and USB 2.0 support, screen resolutions of 4x16 characters like that found on older cell phones (this is in response to OEM needs to cut manufacturing costs), and SQL Server along with Visual Studio for Mobile Developers installed in ROM. 8O Cool.
