Can anyone help me out on how to use the media player on this phone ? I want to add some files but I am not sure how ..

Just copy them to your storage card and away you go. Personally, I use a USB SD Memory key. I find it much faster and easier to manage the files you have on your SD card. However, you don't need one. Next time it's syncing just browse to My Computer/Mobile Device/Storage Card and paste your files here. :D
