Check out how it can quickly be opened in both directions and how reasonably sized it is. I got to play with a prototype about a month ago and my view of the mobile devices industry has not been the same since then. This device is packed with an astounding amount of functionality and I can't wait to get one.

To be honest though, I am a bit concerned about the keyboard. On the prototype I played with, it was a bit challenging to use because of the layout, sizing, and color scheme they used. Hopefully the final version will have that worked out but even if it doesn't, convergence is undeniably here and now. The fun part will be seeing Moto iterate on this design over the next few years and driving it to perfection.

heh heh

Did you see the man at the end of the INPUT video? He looked like he was typing a letter, using the keyboard .. WITH HIS THUMBS. Oy! :D

that is the coolest phone, and the coolest pda ever. If it has wm2004, it will have alot of owners.

This MPx thing looks seriously clumsy and fiddly, having to flip it left right and centre (sorry, center) would do my head in! It reminds me of one of those 80's puzzle things that took the spotty-kids-with-no-mates-and-who-solved-the-rubiks-cube-in-ten-minutes world by storm.

And it looks to me like the keyboard is too narrow. I could never type on one of those things.... and when it's closed, it reminds me of a nasty MP3 player that I could buy from Lidl.

Sorry, I don't like it.

Very cool and very innovatie - finally from Moto too! I would have expected something like this from Sony or Nokia - It's nice to see someone else taking the lead on design :D

I think I'm going to stick with waiting for my 220 to come out - come on T-Mobile get that out there!

You lucky bastard. So tell me this, how does that hing feel? Strong, or weak? Do you think it will hold up?

On the prototype I played with...

I asked this over on PPCT, but let me ask you here since you have actually used the device: Does the screen orientation flip automatically based on the way the device is opened? I would certainly hope you wouldn't have to change orientation manually.

What do you think the external display and 3 buttons below it are for? ;)

I honestly didn't pay any attention to that since it was made very clear to me that it was an early prototype (the serial number was a single digit).

That's what the videos indicate ;)

I think this device is the best thing 'since sliced bread'. It's a beautiful device and I can't wait to get a hold of one of these things.

I just wish they had put in dual SD slots. That would have been perfect. But this gets reeeeeeal close.

I'll be selling my P900 to buy one of these. Can't wait until they're on shore. I'd really like to know what they're going to sell for.

I was a bit skeptical about this device when it was first announced but the videos have me intrigued.

With both wi-fi and cellular connectivity it provides the best coverage options. Not sure how well it would work as a phone. Still wonder about the size and bulk - the iPAQ 4100 finally met the "I can put this in my suit coat pocket criteria".

Battery life - they have either done some major improvements or its going to be a huge disappointment.

Wish it was CDMA vs. slow GSM. Hopefully when they come out I can get a demo from our cellular reps. Look forward to seeing this thing - anything has to be better than carrying a pager, pda and smartphone.
