Can anyone translate Czechoslovakian? It might help us find out some more details on this bad boy. This looks like a really nice phone. I love the keyboard, camera, wide display, and most of all the size.

I'll be the first: Does it have Bluetooth? If so, I'm sold. 8)

Not sure about Bluetooth, it would be nice to have. However the keyboard and size just might out weigh my requirement for Bluetooth.

We really need someone who can translate that page. I would imagine it would shine a little more light on this phone.

Nice ... with a keyboard you can respond to email. Some competition for the Blackberry.

You know, this is just a concept photo. And if it sees the light of day, kudos to Motorola for doing something a little different. I do hope however that they widen the actual display. Right now it looks kinda reminiscent of the the Sony UX series which doesn't meet it's full potential due to it's needlessly small screen.

More importantly....if you click on the following link from the same page, there is a V180 that looks alot like what many thought was the MPx220.

Also, a phone or two above it is a phone that says the screen resolution is the smartphone familiar 176 x 220.

Ya, not much help at all. :(

Here's the direct link to the page you mentioned. http://www.mobilmania.cz/Mobilnitelefony/AR.asp?ARI=106501&CAI=2102 There are some pretty neat devices on that page.

Hey guys, and thanks for the link.

I managed to get a bit of a translation which wasn't quite perfect, but the gist of the article was that it might not run Windows Mobile. A user kindly corrected me on an error I made while paraphrasing the translation :-D

How can this run Windows Mobile 2003 if the hardware has a landscape mode? Landscape is only going to be supported in Magneto (Windows Mobile 2004).

I don't think this device this will run WM2003.

Cheers, Andreas.

I commented on this phone on PPCT and said that it wasn't WM but Phone Edition.

I actually now think that it is neither but instead inhouse Moto.

Boo! (sorry, Cingular users). Why do all the innovative new phones come out first (or ever) in the US on ATTW and/or Cingular?

The MPX220 was first reported to be coming out on T-Mobile (my carrier), but apparently T-Mobile backed out of the deal, and it is also coming out first on ATTW and Cingular.

I don't believe T-Mobile has any Smartphones available. Yes, a couple of Pocket PC phones (previously one, but now the HP 6315 has been added), but they are too large and unwieldy for use as one's main phone, IMO.
