According to the company, speeds as high of 3 megabits can be experienced (more than twice the speed of a T1). If the trial goes well, the network will go head to head against Verizon Wireless’ 1xEV-DO technology that is going nationwide."<br /><br />More speed, more speed! :D

The place I work has been using Nextel for a few years (currently the Blackberry) and I have not been too impressed. The only thing I use to like about Nextel was the PTT feature, but I quit using it since it does not work well with the Blackberry. We shall see how this venture turns out. Wonder who is supplying the equipment?

Info on the features and requirements.

this is very welcomed. Using my i95cl as a modem with my ipaq has given me 9.6 kbps. Any improvemnet would be huge. I hope they integrate this into their up and comming i930 smartphone.
