How about a better email client?

I'm surprised at how basic the email client is that comes with the Smartphone. A friend has an email client on his Treo 600 from Visto that is really great. I have Visto on my Samsung i600 and unfortunately it only provides the mail service, not the client.

Does anyone know of a third-party email client? I've scoured everywhere and can't find one.

I've used Sunnysoft Mailcenter for a couple of months now. I like it and it does what it's supposed to. It adds funtionality that the built in one lacks, but it's not integrated into the phone like the built-in one is.

I do have one complaint, though I'm not sure if it's particular to my or all i600 installations. If I have Mailcenter open and I receive an SMS my whole phone will lock up. As a result I'm very careful about closing all running apps and then closing Mailcenter as soon as I'm done with it. I mainly use it to send from a couple of secondary accounts so it isn't horrible.

Now, if VZW would just see fit to release 2003 to us...

Have you informed the developer? It sounds like a pretty serious bug, and I would hope they are working to address it.
