According to <a href="http://www.phonescoop.com/">Phone Scoop</a>, the service, "is available immediately for the UK, and will be expanded in early 2004 to include Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Portugal, Spain, and Sweden."

Maybe it's just me... But there can't be a really big demand for this. Wouldn't the money be better spent on improving the network converage or something like that? I mean, how many people are going to feel the need to send a SMS around the world?? :?

I've heard that we send many more text messages on this side of the pond, is that true? I currently send ~200 per month.

Fair enough. :oops: I never thought about international travellers. I was just thinking about the average user going from work and back. Maybe a little travel around your state / province.
