To use the alarm feature rather than a calandar entry go to Programs/Settings/Date and Time/Alarm on/enter hour and minute/use 1 key to change between a.m and p.m.

Use it every morning... my bedrom ritual:

- 23:00 - Snoggle with my girlfriend, if nothing "spesial" happens, pull out my Smartphone and play Pocket MiniGolf or Snails.
- 23:30 - Check that the alarm still is on at 06:00, lay it face down next to my pillow (why the hell did they put a flashing light on the darned thing?) and fall asleep.
- 06:00 - the damn phone starts to ring... Thank God for "snooze", I snooze two-three times before I get up.

If the alarm is something like my Qtek 8010 it is definately worthless, if the phone is on silent or meeting, there is no sound, and of it's on silent its no vibration either 8O
Tried playing around with the phone, and it seems there is no way out of it. Guess I have to spend more money on software to complete the phone.

Well, I have simple needs and use the alarm for waking me up in the morning. I have a profile that I created named bedtime where my phone only lets through The 'alarm' and at increasing volume levals - Ring Type is set to Silent for incoming calls.

It's never failed to wake me up.

However, if there was a simple piece of software which did the same thing without using up a 'Profile' setting I would be intereted in it.

I just place the phone upside-down. The flashing light is much less of a bother now. ;) I'm using Alerts as my alarm, and it's great. I got the increasing volume, so it doesn't cause me to jump out of bed right away! ;)

This is good to know. I learned we have an alarm clock, and it sounds like a status light on the 5600. God, I miss having a status light. (Don't have my phone yet) Now I just have to remember not to throw the thing when the alarm wakes me up in the morning. Lost a couple alarm clocks that way.

there's an alarm plugin that you can install on your smartphone. what it does is put a new entry in your homescreen where you can access your alarm settings directly - very useful. i dont know where else to get it but here: http://www.airfagev.com. just got to the downloads>plugins section<. after that, you can run the 'default' homescreen or get one of the homescreens that requires the alarm plugin and you should be all set... no pun intended... ^_^

I have to make sure that whatever alarm I use can handle being hit hard in the morning...not a fan of it going off :) So I still with the more traditional types...

I use this:
http://www.geocities.com/lior_e72/

The alarm is so freaking loud it scares the crap out of me. That's what I need to get going sometimes! Plus, you can link right to it using a shortcut.
