nextel smartphone info

I am a forced nextel user (my father pays for it and wont let me switch providers) and heard about a possible nextel smartphone comming in december 2003 or january 2004. I really want a smartphone for wmp and to impress the hell out of my friends. Does anybody have any info on this new phone, when it may be released, how much it will cost, and some specifications?

WOW!! too bad it is comming out in q4, has smartphone 2k2, and a low capacity battery.

i just called the nextel store in shaumberg, ill and they said that the i8xx will be out in q1, the i900 (smartphone w/out a camera) and the i930 will be out in june or july, and the i730 is temp. discontinued due to production issues.

Just because the CG prototype image of the phone shows the SP 2002 home screen, doesnt mean that is what operating system it will come with. If and when this phone comes out, I promise you it will ship with 2003.

I also read in Business Week from an article October '03 that it will have Wi-Fi capability too. I certainlly will replace my beloved Toshiba e740 and i95CL with one unit.
