I never have understood the usefulness of camera's in a PDA or phone. And having to use an external one makes even less sense to me considering how small digital camera's are and their superior picture quality. *shrugs*

WOW this is the first time I really noticed how bad that phone shows fingerprints smudges.

I have that case, and I bought it here in the US!

I got it through Best Buy customer fulfillment.

They should have these in the stores themselves very soon if they don't already. The Best Buy item number is: 000006139671 and the Motorola Model number from the back of the box is "OCEMPX101S". If they don't have one in stock at your local Best Buy, tell them in their Cell Phone department that you want to order one through "Customer Fulfillment" and give them that SKU number. Best Buy will ship it for free to you.

It's a decent case. It fits just fine. It's what I am going to call me "it will do until a better one comes along" case. I don't like the plastic crap over the keys or the screen. I would rather have a pouch anyway as I feel better using the phone outside of the case. The front is nice, the speaker is not covered which will help you hear the ring when it's on your belt. The belt clip is excellent, it's one of the Ultra Clips that really stays on your belt and requires you to press a button to get it off the clip. It also turns and stays at 90 degrees either way, which is very handy.

It's $24.95 at Best Buy!

There is another one coming out next week that actually looks very good (less plastic) which I have ordered as well. I will simply take the Motorola one back to Best Buy if I like that one better!

Here is the link for that one, I think it's made by Kruseel:

Thanks for the info seaflipper. I agree that I don't like the plastic but I already swallowed that pill when I decided to make the MPx200 the first flip phone i have ever owned.

Thanks again..I will be picking this up soon!

Most of the article reviews the phone itself. The only part that desribes the camera says the following:

"This is the ViewTake CM350 camera, manufactured by the Taiwanese company Gabor Vision. It consists of 0.3 Mega Pixel CMOS sensor which can turn 180°. It can make video in AVI format (160x120, 10 fps) and static JPEG pictures(680x480). It comes with the software IA Camera and Photos."

It does seem a bit gigantic and clunky, doesn't it? I *might* use a camera on a phone, but not an external one like that - it just seems like too much hassle...

I am currently using T616 from ATT. I'd say that I can't live w/o the built-in camera now compared to what I was before.

Yes, the quality of the fotos are on/or below average. But the point of the camera is to use it whenever you need it.

You can get a Casio Exlim or the latest Panasonic slim cam, but most likely put it in the pocket, while you almost always put the phone on the waist.

I'd several occasions that I saw something funny on the road, and I was able to pull off my phone quickly and took a snapshot and show it with my friends over the internet (ever heard of mobblogging ??).

I write diary with pictures taken from my phone such as "this is my X'mas dinner"..... This is the new Porsche parked in the company garage, etc.

In most of the cases, a regular cam is either not reachable or make you feel like strange (suppose you want to take a picture of the girl in the lib, you don't want to use a regular cam :-) And you can put in the diary that "this is the girl I saw in the lib today that made my heart beat since XXXXX".
