About a year ago, it seemed we were catching up in Europe - colour screens, cameras, proper Internet access, open OS - but never take your eye off the competition, as they're busting out with new features, bad, mad and crazy."<br /><br />This article takes a close look at the innovative features popping up in Japanese cell phones and there are some really interesting things here. My favorite is the one that let's you point an integrated camera at an ordinary URL printed on paper (like in magazines, newspapers, and posters) and then opens up the website at that URL. Neat!

I would really like to see a paper replacement solution where high resolution camera can act as OCR, and scan documents digitally. So instead of having to carry all kinds of documents when I'm on the move, I can just take a picture. The computer can then automticlly resize, clean up, and save the document so I can browse and get them when I need it.

Otherwise, take a picture to go to the URL is not an bad idea either.
