i600 To Be Released on November 10th?

Smartphone Thoughts reader, Berylium, just sent us this message which suggests that the big Verizon i600 launch will be next Monday.

I ordered my i600 last Thursday and received an email from Verizon on Saturday saying it wasn't in-stock yet. I emailed Verizon back asking for more specifics and just received this response: "I apologize for the confusion. The phone will be available on 11/10/2003. If you would like to cancel this order please let us know or we will hold the order until the phone becomes available and process it at that time."

I ordered an upgrade i600 yesterday, when it first became available in my zip code. I got a confirmation and now today received a message from VZW stating the following:

"We apologize for the inconvenience, but the release of the Samsung SPH
-i600 has been delayed with a tentative date of Nov. 15 for future
availability."

So, who knows when this thing will make it to customers.

I don't see it on the website (as of 9:25 AM EST, anyhow), but you can order via (800) 922-0204.

With a one-year contract, tax, and a car charger (which I normally would not have gone for at $29.99, but they will overnight the whole order for free if you buy an accessory), it comes to a few bucks over $600. 8O
