Check it out, and look at all the pictures over at CoolSmartPhone.com.<br /><br />"Here it is folks, the Orange SPV2. There's also another pic here too. These pics, posted at 5PM today, show the HTC Voyager - to be known as the SPV2 on the Orange network - in full detail. The most noticeable differences are the integrated camera, earpiece, improved "softer" errr.. soft-keys and an improved joystick control..."<br /><br /><img src="http://www.smartphonethoughts.com/images/spv2.jpg" alt="User submitted image" title="User submitted image"/>

I love the specs of this phone also! It makes me wonder however if it will become redundant to have this an my ipaq at the same time. I know the more powerfull things that my ipaq can do...but for day to day activities...which I use my ipaq mainly for, this phone may come to replace my ipaq. I will have to wait till its released and somehow get one in my hand over hear in the US before I make any definate comments however....

I dunno - as a bit of a T9 demon, I find text entry to be surprisingly quick on my E100. Of course, with drivers for a folding keyboard or the Pocketop, things would improve greatly ;).

The SPV2 does look fantastic - same size, but with camera, Bluetooth and a faster OS. Should be brilliant.

... and it will presumably be compatible with the keyboard too :)

Even thought it has a camera, I'd grab this phone in an instant. I really hope that a US carrier makes these available in the October timeframe. I'd love to walk into the PDC carrying an '03 device!

If anyone is still monitoring this thread I have a quick question.

Does anyone know if there are further hardware differences between the SPV2 and the Tanager? From what I can tell the only thing new is the addition of Bluetooth, a camera, and maybe more RAM.

Additionally is the 16MB of RAM on the Tanager enough for most users? Do you find yourself cramped for space? Is installing applications on SD cards a viable option? I've never had much experience with installing applications anywhere except in the SafeStore or main memory and I was curious to know if it is effective.

Ta.

it seems to work fine as long as the app developers plan for it (which they seem to do)

What's the ETA on this? I heard October.
