The new ROM fixes the following bugs:
- SMS counter
- no signature protection
- better network reception
- faster
New features:
- IA Album
- IPSM can be saved
- french, english, italian and deutsch languages

Works on: SPV, SPVe100, QTEK, Tanager

I've got a QTEK 7070 that arrived SIM and app unlocked and am understandably a little leery of updating...

- Does it reset the SIM or APP lock?
- Does it effect the radio stack?
- I downloaded the instructions, but cannot convert to English... any English instructions around?

Looks so promising... but not yet ready to "drink the Kool Aid." :drinking:

=> no, it is unlocked already
you have to sync your smartphone in order to save all your data
you have to reinstall all apps after this

Maybe if you go to Modaco (english site), there is some instruction around (haven't looked at it)

warning! this op must be done with care and people who do it must know what they are doing! going back to the previous version is complicated (have to update twice the smartphone) and is valid for french versions at this time... :?
I would think that it is possible to go back to previous versions on any phone but you must have the knowledge and the backups (the older ROMs)...

Technically all Smartphones are equipped with a Flash ROM and can be updated. It's part of the device spec that Microsoft sets out for any device that will run its OS.

However that doesn't mean that the manufacturer will release the update. Or that they will even create one. Don't worry, if or when a ROM update is released for the MPx-200 we will be posting that news!

They aren't claiming to have the update, but rather to have the news on it. But the news they have is nothing more than seeing a motorola phone running it. That doesn't mean much. It could be a test unit, or whatever. Until Motorola or ATT announce something, everything else is just a rumour.

You have to be careful what you read on MSMobiles. Remember, they claimed the MPx200 was dead (http://msmobiles.com/news.php/2324.html) and then reported that the MPx200 death was exaggerated (http://msmobiles.com/news.php/2327.html). However they forget to mentioned that THEY exaggerated it. :lol: :roll:

Anyway, be careful what you read, and don't be afraid to ask questions.
