They made it colorful, removed a lot of important information, and even added in descriptions of non-existant features for extra flavor. Alas, SPV owners are not stuck with this monstrosity forever! Whenever devices are registered with the FCC, their manual gets put up in a big database on the FCC's website. So all you have to do is head over to that site, download the original and uncut manual, and print it out. This article links you straight to the PDF download. Be patient with it though - the FCC's site is pretty slow and it's a 650+ KB download.
