It appears that I may have an opportunity to purchase a Mitac Mio 8380. I awaiting word about whether it includes an English OS and is app and SIM unlocked.
Love the looks, the metal case, the PAX x-scale CPU. Its calling its siren song to me...
Then I'd have to sell my new Tanager. Argh!
Whaddya think? :D

Get it!
(this originally said..."you know you want it" but I had to edit as that reads many different ways!)
That suuuuure is a nice phone! Integrated camera....clamshell in a cooooool metalic case....faaaaaster processor
Plus...you'd probably be the first person in NA with one!
...unless someone isn't talking!

I just hope that I don't need to use the "Alt + Ctrl + Del" key... :P
Anyway, I'll get Mio 8380 Traditional Chinese version on next Monday... :D

Please kindly noticed that it is not metal case .
I'd probably go for this if I were you... but then I haven't gotten my hands on any MS Smartphones yet (outside of demos), so I'm not really the best to say. :)

I decided to wait for the 2003 devices to roll out. I have my doubts that Mitac will realease a 2003 upgrade for the Mio, and I sense a lot of really awesome 2003 devices will be released by the end of the year.
The other factor- I use my phone religiously as my PDA. I don't know that I want to have to open it again and again to see my next meeting and other "at a glance" information. So far my Tanager has served me well, far better than I ever expected. I even sold my T-Mobile PPCPE!

My only reservation with the Mio is that it feels very plasticky. Oh that and it's rather large.
