You didn’t even include a notes application, but my beef with you today is the poor excuse of a Task/ToDo List that you included with the OS. The fact that there actually is a Tasks application on the Smartphone is something, I guess. But I’ve never seen such a feature-less mobile counterpart to a core Outlook module as this.

It seems, on the surface, that Microsoft’s initial thinking behind the SmartPhone was to allow users to carry sync’d information on their phone for viewing and to do most of the editing on their PC. Well the users have spoken and we want more, More, MORE! But, until you realize that the Smartphone is a full-fledged mobile device and not just a “smarter than a regular phone” device, it’s up to clever developers to deliver the goods. (Okay, Microsoft…the SmartPhone is a really great, young device that I must give you full kudos for…but I have to build up the suspense!)

Enter DeveloperOne, with their newest creation, Power Tasks! A feature-rich, fully customizable, Task/Todo Manager that will help you remember why you love your SmartPhone as well as help the non-believers see that it really is a sound alternative to a Pocket PC."

If you're heavy into tasks, this program might be what you need on your Smartphone - Nick Cornaglia has written a review on the pre-release version of this software.
