I purchased 1Password via their site, and have updated via their site since owning it. Now, starting with 1Password4, they will only be selling it via the Mac App Store. And I don't mean that 1Password is the only annoyance, there are other companies that do this. I can understand it, it is just the transition that is the pain. At what point do I move to the Mac App Store version? At least with 1Password, they cut their price by 1/2 and will give you a free upgrade to version 4 when it comes out, and it will only come out via the Mac App Store. What are your thoughts on this process or transition that many software vendors go through?
