Sending SMS on PC?

Many moons ago when i owned a dodgy sony ericcson i used to use my phone explorer which allowed me to view, send and receive sms through my phone when it was plugged in charging on my pc. Is there anything available for the HD7 windows phone, i've had a look around and found a couple but they don't seem to do what i want, only backing up sms and such.

My guess is that with the restrictions placed on WP7 there is no way a 3rd party developer can do this.
