Really? My wife has Amazon prime. I'll have to look at that. Guess the big diff would be that I can get Netflix on my XBOX, WII and Sony media thing. Amazon would need to be a PC hooked to a TV/Monitor?

Amazon has a few other streaming options, including the "Sony media thing" and the Roku (not as many as Netflix).

I don't like that Netflix is forcing me to choose between CDs or streaming; the new combined price isn't worth it to me, although a heavier user might find it still a good price point. As mentioned above, maybe Redbox for the occasional new release, and Amazon, Hulu, or other options for the streaming are good options.

I too will likely cancel DVD service (for Redbox) and go streaming only...but then I'll likely cancel the streaming service soon after. I liked having the OCCASIONAL access to streaming via xbox (the only time I use it), but the streaming movie collection is terrible and not worth me paying $8/month only to use it once or twice about every other month.

I didn't mind paying $10/month for DVD & streaming, but $16 pushed it over the edge. Netflix lost another customer.

UPDATE (3 minutes later):

I cancelled everything.
