First, we are launching new DVD only plans. These plans offer our lowest prices ever for unlimited DVDs - only $7.99 a month for our 1 DVD out at-a-time plan and $11.99 a month for our 2 DVDs out at-a-time plan. By offering our lowest prices ever, we hope to provide great value to our current and future DVDs by mail members. New members can sign up for these plans by going to DVD.netflix.com."</em></p><p><img height="186" src="http://images.thoughtsmedia.com/resizer/thumbs/size/600/adt/auto/1282828277.usr105634.jpg" style="margin-left: 35px; margin-right: 35px; border: 1px solid #d2d2bb;" width="531" /></p><p>My vote is for piece of crap. I would be swayed to say great idea if everything in the library was offered as streaming, however it isn't. What this means is I have to pay $5.00 more ($8.00 USD if I want Blu-Ray) to get the same amount of service I was getting with my 2 DVD plan. Granted, that is not a lot of money, but it still irks me since in order to get the entire library I have to have a combination plan. What are your thoughts on this change?</p>

No way! Just downgraded to streaming only plan. Their new plans just suck. You not necessarily get the latest DVDs when you order either. Just have it as alternative to watch old shows and movies (luckily they have Starz support so you have more or less updated choices). I prefer to rent from iTunes and use HBO Go. If needed be then I would rent as well from either Redbox or Blockbuster.

Doesn't sound better to me. I dropped the single DVD out at a time with streaming for pure streaming a little while back. Not sure that was a great idea, since the streaming library is more limited than I would like, but I wasn't really taking advantage of the DVD option. Now it looks like going back would double my cost. Not a chance, and I'm considering dropping altogether. There are other options.

I am on the streaming only plan in the US. I don't nearly use it enough to be worth it and most of the movies I want to see are DVD only. It's great for TV shows, tho I wish there were more "classic" selections as well.

Hulu, is great for TV as well...even better sometimes...but their movie selection SUCKS! Dropped that one right away.

As said above, there are a lot of options out there...when combined, make for a great TV experience. But there still is not ONE solution that beats them all. I'm waiting.....
