Now users could do video chat from mobile devices and Apple was the only player in the game with that capability."

FaceTime is simple and easy to use, but there have been options such as Skype and Qik if you preferred. Now Yahoo! comes into the game with their free Yahoo! Messenger app for iOS, which is universal so works on the iPad 2 [link]. It has been optimized for the iPad and can allow you to do video, voice, text, SMS and photo sharing. You can also use it to chat with someone on a PC. Seems to me they are playing catch up though, doesn't it? It sounds from the review that it is a pretty good app for this, but the other options mentioned above have been more readily adopted so not sure how much use this one is going to get. Time will tell I suppose, but since it is free and pretty popular internationally perhaps it will get some traction. What are your thoughts on these apps, which ones do you use on a regular basis?
